The Central Michigan Writing Center is dedicated to supporting, researching, and advocating for writers and the work of writing on campus and beyond. The Writing Center strives to offer a safe and inclusive environment for people to consider how they might engage more adeptly and more ethically as writers in the world.
We work with writers on global and sentence-level issues to assist them in navigating their communities of choice. However, we value linguistic diversity above all. We thus affirm the Conference on College Composition and Communication's 1974 Statement on Students' Right to Their Own Language as well as the 2020 Demands for Black Linguistic Justice.
